One Cheerio at a Time

That's what I had for breakfast this morning, celebrating my monthish mark of starting one good new habit. Cheerios and a banana with milk.

I am eating breakfast these days.

It's been about 20 years of my general avoidance of anything other than coffee and cigarettes before noon. I have been a one or two meal-a-day person and it's wreaking havoc with my body & mind.

Y'know, now that I'm older.

If I have to be older, it would be nice if accompanying it would be the words "and wiser". 
So, I'm trying to take better care of myself... one Cheerio at a time.


  1. I use to be a Coffee and Cigarettes person for breakfast ... now I am a Coffee and Nicorette for breakfast person. I am getting healthier one Nicorette at a time ... argh.

    And, may I say, I am ECSTATIC to see you blogging again!
    This old blog-world has been a sad and lonely, sad and lonely place without you in it.
    Me, lately I've been a coffee, yogurt and dry mini-wheats person. Y'know, since I gave up smoking and became Practically Perfect.

  3. Good for you. I start off with a lot of coffee, then switch to tea and a slice of toast with peanut butter later on.
